Investigate the two types of sight defect- long-sightedness and short sightedness.

Find the following information:

1. what causes the defect

Long-sightedness: Defect caused when the focal point moves behind the retina because the eyeball is too short.

Short-sightedness: Defect caused when the focal point moves away from the retina because eyeball tends to be long.

2. the symptoms displayed

The syptoms that are displayed are that the object appears blurry and cant be able to read clearly. Another symptom is that headache would occurs and you would squint which is bad for your eyes.

3. propose what sort of lens may be used to correct each vision.

Long-sightedness: Convex lens so it could bend the light and so the retina can focus.

Short-sightedness: Concave lens so it can bend the light rays outwards therefore the light rays have a greater angle to bend back to focus through the lens.
